Man charged with theft, drug possession

A Lindale man is accused of stealing more than $1,000 from someone’s home and had methamphetamine in his possession when officers arrested him late Monday, according to a Floyd County Jail report.

According to the report:

Colby Lee Craig, 21, of 32 Circle Drive, pilfered items from a home on Willow Run on Nov. 19 and threatened to harm the victim when she tried to stop him.

Craig reportedly stole one Marlin 30-30 level action rifle, 12 DVDs, a York compound bow with a case and accessories, two paintball guns, one Blue Ray player, two cordless Black & Decker drills, a Sony car stereo, three car speakers and one leaf blower.

Collectively, the items were valued at more than $1,501.

Craig was charged with felony counts of theft by extortion, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.
