A Rome man who allegedly sped away when police attempted to pull him over for reckless driving was arrested Wednesday, according to Floyd County Jail reports.

According to the report:

Daniel Jacory Williams, 20, of 7 Wilma Drive, was observed driving on Redmond Circle near Redmond Court on Dec. 22 exceeding the posted speed limit and passing other vehicles in an erratic and weaving manner.

He refused to stop and increased his speed in order to get away from the officer all while driving on a suspended license.

Williams with charged with felony fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer and misdemeanor counts of driving while license suspended or revoked, reckless driving and too fast for conditions.

He remained in jail Wednesday night without bond on the felony charge and $3,900 on the misdemeanor charges.
