Single-vehicle wreck leads to drug charges

A Rome woman was arrested Monday morning after police found different prescription medications in a single bottle, according to Floyd County Jail reports.

According to the report:

Patricia Ann Bullington, 64, of 4062 New Calhoun Highway, Rome, was involved in a single-vehicle wreck at the intersection of Ash Street and Beech Street in the Celanese neighborhood.

When police arrived they noticed she appeared impaired and proceeded to fail a field sobriety test.

They then recovered hydrocodone and Xanax tablets from her vehicle.

Bullington was charged with two counts of felony possession of a schedule III controlled substance and misdemeanor counts of drugs not in original container, driving under the influence of drugs and failure to maintain lane.

She remained in jail Monday night on $2,990 bond.
