The Brunswick News reports Georgia Department of Natural Resources law enforcement officers arrested the pair around 11 p.m. Tuesday. Responding to a call from the Georgia State Patrol, the officers found an erratically driven pickup truck with five dead deer in the back.
Both people were charged with hunting deer at night, hunting from a vehicle and hunting from a public road. The driver was also charged with driving with a suspended license and driving under the influence. The passenger was charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Authorities didn't immediately release their names.
The confiscated deer were brought to a processor, who gave the meat to a food bank.
