A Polk County resident was arrested Saturday on warrants stemming from incidents that occurred at a number of pharmacies in Rome in July of 2012.

Misty Darlene Phillips, 38, of 775 Denton Road, Cedartown, was taken into custody for allegedly obtaining quantities of Lorcet fraudulently on as many as 10 occasions going back to July 14, 2012.

One warrant alleges that Phillips used information from a dentist to obtain the painkiller for her and a boyfriend.

The same warrant alleges that Phillips obtained or attempted to obtain the drug at Walgreens, as well as Cline and Winslette pharmacies. She was charged with felony obtaining controlled substances by misrepresentation, fraud or forgery.

The second warrant charged Phillips with felony possession of the controlled substances.

A man listing the same Cedartown address, Craig Michael Smith, 30, was arrested on the same charges on Friday.

Both Phillips and Smith were being held in the Floyd County Jail without bond Saturday night.
