A Rome man was arrested Monday after he allegedly tried to cash a fake check at a local business, according to Floyd County Jail reports.

According to the report:

Theon Demire Trammell, 21, of 2522 Callier Springs Road, Apt. 311, was charged with felony first-degree forgery for allegedly passing a false check made out to him at Mr. Payroll, 2221 Shorter Ave. No amount was listed on the warrant.

He remained in jail Monday night without bond.
