Roads look great. Good job Floyd BOE. Way to be prudent about your decisions instead of seeking to curtail any criticism from parents who complain when the sun rises and sets. These are the same parents who would be screaming bloody murder if all the snow days were used on bright, sunny days and it cut into spring break or summer.

Not all the roads look great. You must be looking out the kitchen window. Old Dalton, Warren, Dixie Park and Duggar all have enoughice on them to cause a vehicle to slide off the road.

I didn't say anything about 7 a.m. A decision about closings tomorrow morning should be made early tomorrow morning after we know what road conditions are overnight. We don't need to close schools tomorrow until we know whether road conditions necexxitate closing.

The roads have been wet all week. We don't call off school every time it rains especially when there won't be any freezing of roads until well after midnight. If you are worried about your child, go get them and let everyone else use common sense.

If GNTC thinks it's necessary to cancel classes after 2, why is it even a question about after school activities?

Why is Floyd County always the last to decide on anything. It's raining and wet out, temps are gonna drop below freezing but yet they don't want to decide about the safety of our kids....and they wait til the last minute to decide ...

It won't be below freezing until well after midnight and nobody has canceled anything for tomorrow as far as I know.
