Police charge two with drug possession

Police charged two people with possession of drugs after finding them sitting in a vehicle at a closed store at 839 Park Ave., according to Floyd County Jail reports.

According to the reports:

Police found suspected methamphetamine and pills in the vehicle.

Kevin James Shaw, 24, of 712 Turner Chapel Road, was charged with possession of drug-related objects, possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance and possession of methamphetamine. The passenger, Brandi Nichole Berry, 24, of 66 Dugger Drive, was charged with possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance.

Both remained in jail Thursday night with bond set at $10,100 for Shaw and $3,500 for Berry.
