ATLANTA -- The Georgia Department of Labor’s (GDOL) LaFayette Career Center will help a staffing company, Express Employment Professionals, fill a number of manufacturing jobs in northwest Georgia.

The recruitment will be held Friday, Feb. 22, from 12 noon to 4:30 p.m. at the LaFayette Housing Authority, located at 300 South Oak St. The company will be recruiting creelers, fixers, and yarn-service workers, along with twister, superba, forklift, and machine operators.

Applicants should bring copies of their resume to the recruitment and be prepared to interview for job openings. Due to U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations, applicants must be at least 18 years old. Most of the jobs require a high school diploma or a General Education Diploma (GED). While not all positions require manufacturing experience, at least six months of work experience is preferred.

Salaries will depend on the job openings and experience of the applicants.
