Rome police arrested a man on Saturday and charged him with rape in connection with an incident that occurred early Friday morning, according to Floyd County Jail reports.

According to the reports:

Robert Marquez Barnett, 22, of 1315 Crane St., is accused of raping the woman between 3 and 5 a.m. Friday.

In addition to the rape charge, he is charged with robbery by sudden snatching for taking $210 in cash from the woman.

He remained in jail Saturday night.
