Police investigate vehicle thefts

Police are investigating two vehicle thefts that were reported over the weekend, according to Rome police reports.

According to the reports:

A white 2005 Ford F250 work truck was stolen overnight between Saturday and Sunday from Action Environmental, 309 Dodd Blvd.

The truck, valued at $12,500, has the name of the business in green letters on its doors and an Alabama tag.

In a separate incident, a green 1994 Chevrolet Caprice was reported stolen Sunday night from 10 Whiteway Drive.

The car was later involved in a police chase in Bartow County with the Georgia State Patrol.

The victim left the car at the location around 6:30 p.m., and it was missing when the victim returned at 10 p.m.

The car was being held for evidence by the Georgia State Patrol at the time of the report.
