Leesburg man arrested on outstanding warrants

The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a Leesburg man who had outstanding warrants. The arrest was made Saturday morning, April 2.

According to Mark Hicks, public information officer, Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, a person came to the Cherokee County Detention to visit an inmate incarcerated there identified as Billy Ray Agan, a 22-year-old white male. Corrections Officers remembered the name to be a person that had outstanding warrants. Corrections Officers checked and found there were in fact warrants on Agan. They then notified a deputy who responded to the and they took Agan into custody.
