The Berry College Vikings are headed to Lewiston, Idaho for their first trip to the NAIA baseball World Series.

Berry, hosting one of the NAIA opening round tournaments, was down 6-4 in their championship round game against St. Xavier Thursday evening and rebounded to take the lead in the bottom of the ninth.

With the game tied 6-6 and two outs, Viking Andrew Starr singled to deep center field and scored Jarrett Northcutt from second base for the winning run.

The NAIA Avista World Series begins May 22.
