Marlon and Teresa Boyd of Rome announce the engagement of their daughter Haley Celeste Boyd to SPC Justin Dale Irvin of Fort Campbell, Ky., son of Donna and Jerry Hanson and Norman Irvin, all of Cave Spring.

Miss Boyd is a 2003 honor graduate of Coosa High School and a 2008 graduate of Coosa Valley Technical College with a degree in radiologic technology. She is employed at Redmond Regional Medical Center as a radiologic technologist.

The bride-elect is the sister of Shelby and Austin Boyd, both of Rome, and the late William Boyd Reese II. She is the granddaughter of Linda and James Johnston, Ronald and Janice Cescutti and Josephine Boyd, all of Rome, and the late M.L. Boyd.

Irvin is a graduate of Coosa High School, a 2006 graduate of basic training in Fort Sill, Okla., and a 2006 graduate of AIT from Redstone Army Airfield in Huntsville, Ala. He is also January 2007 graduate of Airborne School in Fort Campbell, Ky., and a May 2009 graduate of WLC in Fort Knox, Ky. He was deployed to Iraq with the 101st Airborne Division from September 2007 to November 2008. He is employed with the U.S. Army 101st Airborne Division in Fort Campbell, Ky.

The groom-elect is the brother of Chase and Hannah Irvin, both of Cave Spring and Josh Daniels of Baton Rouge, La. He is the grandson of William and Elizabeth Steele of Cave Spring, Betty Everett of Centre, Ala., and Pat and Devon Irvin of Fort Gains.

The wedding ceremony is planned for Saturday, July 18, 2009, at First Baptist Church of Cave Spring. A reception will follow.
