What is the primary purpose of your business? Food services.
What is your business background?
The Partridge was first opened in Rome in 1933 by John Jacobs. His wife worked at the restaurant and took over the management upon his death in 1996.
Why did you start in this particular business?
It was a lifelong dream of the family.
What makes your business unique?
We are the third oldest restaurant in Georgia and we serve a family style meal that is unique to Rome.
What do you enjoy most about your chosen profession?
Interacting daily with the customers and friends who come to the restaurant.
What has been the biggest or most interesting challenge to overcome as a small business owner?
The economy and some of the new laws being enacted that are making it more difficult to manage a small business at a profit.
Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
We have proudly served the citizens of Rome for 76 years. It is our hope to continue serving the community as a family owned and operated business for another 76 years.
