Ribbon cutting next week for new Ga. Highlands, KSU site in Dallas

Georgia Highlands College and Kennesaw State University will hold a ribbon cutting for the Paulding County Instructional Site in the renovated Bagby Building in downtown Dallas at 11 a.m. Aug. 14.

The new instructional facility includes two newly renovated floors of classrooms, labs, a media library, student lounge and administrative offices. A tour of the facility will follow the ceremony.

Georgia Highlands will begin offering core undergraduate classes this fall and Kennesaw State will offer upper level business classes and graduate courses in educational leadership in spring 2010.

Joining Georgia Highlands President Randy Pierce and Kennesaw State University President Daniel S. Papp for the opening ceremony are Glenn Richardson, speaker of the Georgia House of Representatives; Bill Heath, Georgia State Senator; David Austin, chair, Paulding County Commission; Boyd Austin, mayor of Dallas; and Willis Potts, University System of Georgia regent, District 11.
