A Rome man was sent to Floyd Medical Center after his Nissan Altima overturned on Ga. 100 just west of Rome on Saturday afternoon.

According to Pfc. Shane Scoggins with the Floyd County Police Department:

Mohammed Alam, 44, of a Rome address, was driving north on Ga. 100 (Fosters Mill Road) when he apparently lost control of his vehicle, overcorrected and then flipped the Altima.

His injuries did not appear to be life threatening.

The highway was blocked for a short time while emergency crews worked the scene.
