Tina Gallant of Rome and Kenneth E. Cox of Resaca announce the engagement of their daughter Kendra Beth Cox to Jonathan Grant Latta, son of W.A. and Martha Latta of Trion.

The bride-elect is a 1997 graduate of Pepperell High School. She is employed as a registered nurse at Redmond Regional Medical Center.

The bride-elect is the stepdaughter of the late Kathy Ann Cox. She is the granddaughter of Robert and Jean Hogan and Mable Cox, all of Rome, and the late Norris Cox.

Latta is a 1997 graduate of Trion High School. He is employed as a mechanical contractor and is the owner of Rome Mechanical.

The groom-elect is the brother of Greg Latta and Gary Latta, both of Trion. He is the grandson of the late Arthur and Bessie Anderson and the late Edward and Cynthia Latta.

The wedding ceremony is planned for Saturday, Sept. 12, 2009, in Gulf Shores, Ala. A reception will be held on Sept. 19, 2009 in Summerville. Family and friends are invited to attend.
