Students planning to enter Shorter College’s nursing program next year got a taste of their chosen profession at a health fair today.

At the fair, area health care providers gave free testing and health resources for Shorter students. The pre-nursing students assisted with testing and triage.

Among the services offered were hepatitis vaccines, AIDS testing, eye exams, blood pressure measurements and diabetes screenings.

Freshman Kim Sullins worked at the fair and wants to be a labor and delivery nurse.

“I’ve always wanted to go into the nursing field, and today has been a great learning experience,” she said
