Cobb County Police said 22-year-old Orlando Dyer of Austell was taken into custody Thursday. Police said paramedics were called to an apartment complex and found a 22-month-old girl not breathing and bleeding.
Dyer had faced aggravated battery and child cruelty charges. Authorities said the infant died Monday and Dyer was charged with murder.
An autopsy determined the toddler died of a blow to the head
