Artwork from Shorter College's most dedicated and creative art students will be on display as part of an eight-day exhibition that begins Wednesday.

Shorter's Art Student Honors Exhibition will showcase the work of seniors Elisabeth Watts and Lindsay Shaver and juniors Brittni Dekle and James Davis. The once-a-year exhibit, housed inside the college's Arnold Gallery, will include paintings, ceramics and photography. A reception for the artists will also be held Wednesday, April 1, during the school's Celebrate Shorter day, which highlights student achievement and success.

The displayed art is selected by the school's art faculty and is based upon the amount of creative skill and dedication to craftsmanship. The exhibit is free and open to the public. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. The exhibit closes April 8
