Ashley Jeananne Hardin of Cordele and Clinton Shelby Goss of Rome were married at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, 2002, at Lee Council House in Americus.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jackie Ray Hardin Jr. of Cordele. The groom is the son of Jennifer Goss of Rome and the late Edwin Lamar Goss.

Dr. John P. Smith III of Cordele performed the ceremony. The mantels and staircase were embellished with antique arrangements of white lilies, white roses, magnolia leaves and tree fern.

Lindsay Rae Hardin, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Cary Pridgen Mc-Williams and Patricia Ann Bryan were bridesmaids.

Dulce Westbrook Hardin, cousin of the bride, was junior bridesmaid.

Attendants wore sage green satin gowns with deep V-necklines.

They carried bouquets of miniature Calla lilies and tuberose.

Hutton Danyelle Hardin was flower girl. She wore an ivory satin dress with an organza overlay accented with soft green flower petals at the hemline. She carried a pomander of miniature shasta daisies and green cushion mums.

The bride, escorted by her father, wore a strapless satin two-piece gown featuring embroidered edging on the neckline and waist. She also wore her mother’s pearls.

She carried a bouquet of green cymbidium orchids, green dendrobiums, seeded eucalyptus and tree fern. She also carried an antique linen handkerchief belonging to her maternal great-grandmother and a sixpence given to her by Mrs. Wesley Odom.

Kenneth Patrick Pence, cousin of the groom, served as best man. Benjamin Jeffrey Howell, cousin of the groom, Christopher Lee Austin and Christopher Na-thaniel Twilley were ushers and groomsmen.

A reception was held.

After a wedding trip to Charleston, S.C., the couple resides in Rome
