Hattie Harris-Lawrence and Michael Lawrence, both of Rome, announce the engagement of their daughter Felicia Monique Crowder to Kerry Dion Montgomery, son of Lorena Montgomery of Rome and the late Archie Montgomery.

Miss Crowder is a 1998 graduate of Rome High School and a 2003 graduate of Albany State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology. She is currently attending Vogue Beauty School. She is employed at the Floyd County Department of Family and Children Services.

The bride-elect is the sister of Michael Lawrence Jr. She is the granddaughter of Norma Hutchinson of Buchannan and Tommy Hutchinson of Rome.

Montgomery is a 1994 graduate of Rome High School and a 2002 graduate of Albany State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing. He is a member of the Delta Mu Delta National Honor Society and is employed at Smith Car Center in Rome.

The groom-elect is the brother of Natasha Montgomery of Rome. He is the grandson of Hugh Montgomery and Josephine Porter, both of Rome, the late Zula Montgomery and the late Harvey Dean.

The private wedding is planned for 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 14, 2004, at Springfield Baptist Church in Rome. A reception will follow in the Riverwalk Ballroom at The Forum. Invitations will be sent
