The Rome News-Tribune won six awards this past weekend during the annual Georgia-Alabama Newspaper Advertising and Marketing Executives meeting in Birmingham, Ala.

The awards were:

Gold Medal (First Place) — Floyd County in the Group Promotion category

Hawthorne Suites, in Signature Place

America’s Home Place in the Real Estate category

Silver Medal (Second Place) — T. Martooni’s in the Food category

The Little Goose and Gander, in Apparel, Jewelry and Accessories

Bronze Medal — (Third Place) — Heritage Automotive for Motor Vehicles

“The Georgia/Alabama NAME Award contest represents a competitive atmosphere among all Georgia and Alabama newspapers,” said Trip Hatley, advertising director for the Rome News-Tribune. “The number of awards we won reflects very well on the quality of advertising we are able to design and publish in our products.”
