A Rome man was in jail with no bail set Sunday night on charges that he threatened a woman with a knife.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

Jose Lopez Cornejo, 42, of 1 Mardi Way, was arrested early Sunday and charged with aggravated assault and public drunkenness.

Close to 2 a.m., Cornejo pulled a woman into his residence and asked her to have sex with him. When she refused, he reportedly pulled out a knife and demanded she have sex.
