Two elementary school principals were named by the Rome Board of Education at its meeting today.

Narkisa Ware is the new principal at Annie K. Davie Elementary School, 301 Nixon Ave., and Dawn Williams was named principal at Main Elementary, 3 Waters St.

Ware presently is assistant principal at East Central Elementary and Williams is the assistant principal at West End Elementary.

The two were recommended by Rome City School Superintendent Gayland Cooper.

The principal of Southeast Elementary School should be named by next month’s board meeting, Cooper said.
