A Rome man was booked into jail early Saturday morning on charges that he threatened his mother with a switchblade knife.

According to Floyd County Jail reports:

Anthony Dewayne Trammell, 33, of 26 Glenview Dr., is accused of pointing the switchblade at his mother’s throat and ordering her to “do what I say or else,” reports stated. Trammell, who according to police had been drinking and taking pain pills, allegedly became “irrational” after his mother refused to take him to see a friend.

Trammell — charged with terroristic threats and acts, aggravated assault and possession of a knife while trying to commit a crime — remained in custody Saturday night pending $8,450 bail.
