A Rome man was in jail Saturday night accused of battering a woman and hitting two people with a plank, reports stated.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

Cary Dan Bedwell, 40, of 32 Wet Oak Drive, was charged with the misdemeanors of disorderly conduct, public drunkenness, simple battery under the family violence act and two additional counts of simple battery. He is also charged with felony aggravated stalking.

Bail had not been set for Bedwell.
