Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Justin Ourso III of Baton Rouge, La., announce the engagement of their daughter Sarah Demoruelle Ourso of Atlanta to Henry Thomas Nix, also of Atlanta, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gary L. Nix of Alpharetta.

Miss Ourso is a 2000 graduate of St. Joseph’s Academy in Baton Rouge and a 2004 graduate of the University of Georgia with a degree in international business. She is a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. Miss Ourso is employed at SunTrust Robinson Humphrey in Atlanta.

The bride-elect is the sister of Alvin Justin Ourso IV of Charlotte, N.C., Eleanor Pelletier Ourso of Athens and Hannah Ourso of Charlottesville, Va. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Justin Ourso Jr. of Baton Rouge and Mr. and Mrs. Bruno J. Savoia of Donaldsonville, La.

Nix is a 1999 graduate of Roswell High School and a 2003 graduate of the University of Georgia with a general business degree. He is a member of Kappa Alpha fraternity and is self-employed as a building contractor in Atlanta.

The groom-elect is the brother of Jonathan Taylor Nix of Columbia, S.C. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Lamar Nix of Clarkesville, Mrs. Thomas Jackson Sprayberry of Rome and the late Mr. Sprayberry.

The private ceremony is planned for Saturday, Jan. 13, 2007, at Academy of the Sacred Heart Chapel in New Orleans, La. A reception will follow at Orleans Club
