Ken and Deborah Smith of Rome announce the engagement of their daughter Kathryn Ann Smith to Matthew Steven Stover, son of Mike and Jennifer Stover of Rome.

Miss Smith is employed at West End Florist, owned by her parents and operated by family.

The bride-elect is the sister of Robert Terrell Smith of Rome. She is the granddaughter of Shirley Wood Smith of Rome, the late Kenyon Terrell Smith Sr., the late Larry Rance Jones Sr. and Margaret and Bobby McKerley of Cedar Bluff, Ala.

Stover is a 2006 graduate of Coosa Valley Technical College with a computer networking degree. He is employed at Logical Systems Inc.

The groom-elect is the brother of David Stover, Keith Stover, Summer Stover, Taylor Stover and Megan Stover, all of Rome. He is the grandson of Shirley Jackson James of Brandon, Miss., the late Dwight Douglass Davis and the late Mr. and Mrs. Chester Stover.

The ceremony is planned for Saturday, March 17, 2007, in Brookes Chapel at Shorter College. A reception will follow at Magretta Hall. Invitations will be sent
