Dan Jernigan, who previously led the Boys & Girls Clubs of Northwest Georgia, has been named to head the Boys & Girls Clubs of Rutherford County, Tenn.

Jernigan comes to Murfreesboro after having served six years in Northwest Georgia. He was also the director for the club in Anderson, S.C.

Jernigan and his wife Maria have three children: Elizabeth, 9, Gracie, 6, and Timothy, 2½.

Jernigan is a 15-year combat veteran of the Armed Forces and is a drill sergeant with the Army Reserves.
