Sunday’s South Atlantic League game between the Rome Braves and Savannah Sand Gnats has been postponed due to rain. A makeup date has yet to be announced.

Rome is scheduled to have an off day Monday, and they will return home for a four-game series with Asheville beginning Tuesday night. Wednesday’s game will be a 10:30 a.m. start.

The Braves dropped three of four games to the Tourists in the teams’ first series in April. Asheville is currently in second place in the South Atlantic League’s south division, three games back of the Augusta GreenJackets. Their record is now 21-9 after they defeated Kannapolis Sunday.

Rome has no less than four series in Savannah remaining this season, making it likely that the game will be made up as a doubleheader later on in the season.

The rainout also means that the Braves will have to wait to try and make their first series sweep of the season. Rome won 5-1 on Saturday night
