After 25 years, M&K Textiles hangs it up
The plant floor of M&K Textiles, Inc. was quiet Monday. No whirring of the knitting machines in the back. No machines droning. Left only on the floor were a couple of career sewers piecing together the final bits of business left to be shipped out this week. Stitch by stitch owner Keith Wilson, 82, crafted his vision of a knit, cut and sew operation. After 25 years — to the month, he said — the Moultrie textile manufacturer is tying up loose ends and closing shop.
