No one was home at 550 Wax Road when the fire broke out, but Sgt. Danny Brackett at the Wax Road Fire Dept. said while the house may not be a complete loss, it does have extensive damage.
“If it wasn’t the fire, it was the heat, smoke and water that did it,” he said. “A hole was burnt right through the middle of it.”
Brackett said the single-family home belonged to a John Duncan.
