Two Rome Braves pitchers were promoted on Monday to high-Class A Myrtle Beach.

Rome announced that right-handers Tyler Bullock and Jeff Lyman have been sent to the Pelicans, who play in the Carolina League.

Bullock's stay in Rome was short - he just joined the Braves on Saturday and had not yet pitched for the team.

Lyman was 4-8 for Rome this season with a 4.59 ERA in 20 starts.

In their place, Rome receives right-handed pitcher Brett Butts from the Danville Braves of the rookie Appalachian League. He was 2-0 with a 0.73 ERA in five games for Danville, with 12 strikeouts and just three walks.

Rome completes their four-game series in Augusta on Tuesday before heading to Kannapolis for a four-game set.

The Braves return home July 30 to host the Lexington Legends
