A Rome man was arrested Saturday morning on drug and battery charges, reports stated.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

Tracy Brooks, 48, of 5 Glenda Drive, was charged with felony possession of dangerous drugs and misdemeanor simple battery and DUI.

Brooks struck a woman and was arrested after he drove away. He also had prescription drugs not belonging to him. Bail was set at $8,540.
