The Rome-Floyd Unified Football and Cheerleading League’s traditional jamboree has been adjusted this year to avoid the continuing extreme heat conditions that have baked the region this month.

Due to the extreme temperatures and heat index, the league’s jamboree will be played over a three-day period beginning today morning and on Monday and Tuesday evenings at Riverview Park and the Rome Boys & Girls Club.

The league has put strict guidelines into policy to cope with the hot conditions with coaches put on a strict practice schedule because of the heat.

Today, jamboree games will be played from 9 a.m. until 12:30 p.m., then resume on Monday and Tuesday at the same sites from 5:30-8:30 p.m.

The fee, excluding players, cheerleaders and coaches in uniform with ID, is $1
