A board meeting for the Rome City Schools Board of Education has been called for early Wednesday morning. The board is meeting to determine the process for replacing recently resigned school board member Jim Greer.

Greer submitted his resignation early last week to run for a Ward 1 Rome City Commission seat. Greer spent 22 years on the school board and stepped down in hopes of becoming a part of the growth in Rome.
