Booth Museum now featuring three paintings on loan from Smithsonian
Through George Catlin's paintings, Booth Western Art Museum patrons are getting a rare glimpse of what the Great Plains Indians were like in their element, untouched by European influences. Since Aug. 25, Catlin's works -- "No-O-Mun-Ne, Walks in Rain, a Warrior" and "Smoking the Shield" -- and Walter Ufer's "After Them" have been on a two-year loan from the Smithsonian American Art Museum.
