Two people were injured in a two-vehicle wreck shortly after 9 o’clock tonight at the intersection of Redmond Circle and Lavender Drive.

According to Rome Pfc. Lindi Lawson:

A red Pontiac on the west side of Redmond Circle trying to make a left onto Lavender Drive cut across the path of a Burgundy Expedition heading east.

The collision blocked traffic onto Lavender Drive. Rescue workers cut a passenger from the Pontiac wreckage.

Lawson said there were two injuries: one appears to be minor and the other may be a broken bone.
