The 2006-2007 edition of "The Chimes," Shorter College’s literary magazine, has placed first in the American Scholastic Press Association’s literary magazine competition.

In a letter from the ASPA, the magazine was described as “an excellent publication” that “shows the efforts of talented and creative editors, writers, artists, photographers, layout designers, staff members and advisor.”
