Police have recovered a vehicle reportedly stolen over the weekend.

According to Floyd County police reports:

A vehicle that was reported stolen to Rome police early Sunday morning was recovered near Woods Road and Ga. 20 between 10 and 11 a.m.

An officer discovered the black Pontiac Vibe, valued at $20,000, in a wooded area near a convenience store off Woods Road.

The driver and passenger sides of the car were damaged, and several CDs and a purse were still inside the car.

The officer attempted to contact the owner, who reported the car stolen between 1 and 4 a.m. from an apartment complex on Coker Drive.
