An Oxford man remains in the Floyd County Jail without bond for escape, reports stated.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

Harold Gene Rivers, 39, of 1108 Cannon Farm Road, Oxford, was arrested on a warrant Thursday and charged with felony escape.

Rivers was reportedly sentenced in Baldwin County to serve in the Rome Diversion Center for six counts of misdemeanor deposit account fraud.

On May 16, 2007, Rivers walked out of the center and never returned
