A Silver Creek man is in jail after a Sunday night standoff with the Floyd County SWAT team at his Pleasant Valley Road residence, reports stated.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

Austin Mark Outlaw, 18, of 1744 Pleasant Valley Road is charged with misdemeanor no proof of insurance, driving with a suspended license, duty upon striking fixture and the operation of a vehicle without a current plate.

Authorities said Outlaw, who was believed to be armed, was involved in a wreck on nearby Mathis Road earlier Sunday evening and then ran to his house in the 1700 block of Pleasant Valley Road.

Traffic along Pleasant Valley Road was detoured during the standoff.

Robbery on Ashland Park Boulevard

A complainant stated that as he was walking up the breezeway of his apartment a man came up behind him and asked the time. When he turned around a gun was pointed at him, reports stated.

According to Rome police reports:

The black-clad assailant told him to give him everything he had. The complainant stated that he handed over $1,500 that he had just picked up from his sister’s friend. The gunman then told him to close his eyes and ran from the scene.

The description of the suspect is male, 6 foot tall and weighing 120 pounds
