Qualifying continues from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Thursday and from 9 a.m. to noon on Friday.

Candidates continue to qualify for local elections today. They include:

  • Leigh Patterson, who qualified to run for re-election as a Democrat for her position as District Attorney.
  • Steve Hulsey, who qualified to run as a Republican for the Floyd County Sheriff post currently held by Tim Burkhalter.
  • Dan Morgan, who qualified as a Republican to seek the District Attorney seat.
