A Kingston man involved in an afternoon wreck remains in the emergency room at Floyd Medical Center.

According to Pfc. Buddy Parris with Floyd County police:

John Burton, 55, was traveling south on Kingston Highway near Old Freeman Ferry Road when he got distracted, ran off the right side of the road, couldn’t correct his steering and hit a culvert.

Parris said Burton was taken to the hospital for minor injuries. He was complaining of neck and arm pain.
