Rome police officers directed traffic for a little over an hour on East Second and North Fifth avenues at their intersections with West Third Street while line crews repaired the electrical line, officials said.
Carol Boatright, a spokesperson with Georgia Power, said a crew was repairing a blown line fuse on West Third Avenue.
Traffic was slowed and the intersections were directed by police officers for more than an hour Monday afternoon
