The Rome Braves remain at .500 for second half of the season after splitting with the Charleston RiverDogs on Tuesday in a doubleheader created by bad weather Monday.

After falling in the first game 4-3, which was a completion of Monday's game, the Braves came back in the seven-inning second game for a 6-1 win.

In the first game, Rome made a comeback bid, beginning in the sixth with a two-out, two-run single by Freddie Freeman with the bases-loaded.

The Braves scored one more run in the eighth but was held there for the loss.

In the second game, the Braves had a 5-0 lead until the fifth inning when the RiverDogs scored their first and only run.

The Braves next travel to Savannah for a three-game series against the Sand Gnats beginning Wednesday at 7 p.m
