Members of the Crisp County Power Commission (CCPC) agreed at a recent meeting that recent rains have helped water levels at Lake Blackshear, but they would like to see more precipitation from Tropical Storm Gustav.

CCPC General Manager Steve Rentfrow said hydroelectric power generation was off for the month of July due to dry weather conditions and low water levels at Lake Blackshear, but recent rains should offer relief through the end of August and into September.
