The blood drive will be at Midway Primary School in Silver Creek from 8:20 to 11:40 a.m. and from 1 to 5 p.m.
Nix was recently diagnosed with leukemia but is currently in remission. For each blood donation, Blood Assurance will make a monetary contribution to the Nix family to assist with expenses.
Donors must be at least 17 years old (16 years old with parental consent), weigh at least 110 pounds and be in good health. The donors will receive a snack and T-shirt, and all visitors will be eligible to register for a trip for two to Washington, D.C.
